High Threat Security Alert (A23-03-02): Multiple Vulnerabilities in Fortinet Products

Fortinet released security advisories to address multiple vulnerabilities in Fortinet products. An attacker could exploit these vulnerabilities by sending specially crafted requests to an affected system.
Reports indicate that a path traversal vulnerability (CVE-2022-41328) in Fortinet FortiOS is being actively exploited. System administrators are advised to take immediate action to ensure the latest patches have been applied for your affected systems to mitigate the elevated risk of cyber attacks.

Depending on the vulnerability being exploited, a successful exploitation could lead to remote code execution, arbitrary command injection, cross-site scripting, denial of service, information disclosure, privilege escalation, security restriction bypass or tampering of affected system.
Software updates for affected systems are now available. Administrators of affected systems should follow the recommendations provided by the product vendor and take immediate actions to mitigate the risk.
