Year

  • The pandemic that lingered for three years has significantly changed enterprises' mode of operation and people's way of living. With the more extensive use of Internet and emerging technologies, we have witnessed an increasing trend of the variety and frequency of cyber attacks. To provide a secure and reliable cyberspace for the community under the new normal, the Government Computer Emergency Response Team Hong Kong (GovCERT.HK) has continued to strengthen the cyber security resilience, promote security awareness and raise the defensive capabilities through collaboration with different stakeholders during the year.

GovCERT.HK is an operational member of the Asia Pacific Computer Emergency Response Team (APCERT). APCERT is a coalition of Computer Emergency Response Teams (CERTs) and Computer Security Incident Response Teams (CSIRTs) within the Asia Pacific region. It maintains a trusted network of cyber security experts in the Asia Pacific region to enhance the region’s vigilance against malicious cyber activities and its overall capability to detect, prevent and mitigate such activities.
