High Threat Security Alert (A21-03-07): Multiple Vulnerabilities in Google Chrome

Description:

Google released a security update to address multiple vulnerabilities in the tab groups implementation, the WebRTC and the Blink components of the Google Chrome. A remote attacker could entice a user to open a web page with specially crafted content on a vulnerable browser to exploit the vulnerabilities.

Reports indicate that the vulnerability (CVE-2021-21193) is being exploited in the wild. You are advised to take immediate action to patch your affected systems to mitigate the elevated risk of cyber attacks.

Affected Systems:

• Google Chrome prior to version 89.0.4389.90

Impact:

A successful exploitation could lead to remote code execution or denial of service on an affected system.

Recommendation:

Users of affected systems should update the Google Chrome to version 89.0.4389.90 or later to address the issue.
