High Threat Security Alert (A25-12-21): Vulnerability in WatchGuard Fireware

Description:

WatchGuard has released a security update to address a vulnerability in WatchGuard Fireware. A remote attacker could entice a user to open a web page with specially crafted content on a vulnerable browser to exploit the vulnerability.

Reports indicated that the remote code execution vulnerability (CVE-2025-14733) is being exploited in the wild. System administrators are advised to take immediate action to patch your affected systems to mitigate the elevated risk of cyber attacks.

Affected Systems:

• WatchGuard Fireware OS 11.10.2 versions prior to and including 11.12.4_Update1
• WatchGuard Fireware OS 12.0 versions prior to and including 12.11.5
• WatchGuard Fireware OS 2025.1 versions prior to and including 2025.1.3

Impact:

Successful exploitation of the vulnerability could lead to remote code execution on an affected system.
