Security Alert (A15-06-02): Multiple Vulnerabilities in Adobe Flash Player

Description:

Security updates are released for Adobe Flash Player to address multiple vulnerabilities caused by memory corruption/leak, stack/integer overflow, use-after-free or security restrictions bypass issues. To successfully exploit the vulnerabilities, a remote attacker could entice a targeted user to open a specially crafted web page, Flash file, or document that supports embedded Flash content.

Affected Systems:

• Adobe Flash Player 17.0.0.188 and earlier versions
• Adobe Flash Player 13.0.0.289 and earlier 13.x versions
• Adobe Flash Player 11.2.202.460 and earlier 11.x versions
• Adobe AIR Desktop Runtime 17.0.0.172 and earlier versions
• Adobe AIR SDK and SDK & Compiler 17.0.0.172 and earlier versions
• Adobe AIR for Android 17.0.0.144 and earlier versions

Impact:

Depending on the vulnerability exploited, a successful attack could lead to arbitrary code execution, security restrictions bypass, information disclosure or potentially take control of the affected system.

Recommendation:

Upgrade Adobe Flash Player to the following versions to address the issues. The upgrade can be obtained by using the auto-update mechanism or by downloading at the following URLs:
